This mentorship program is comprised of monthly virtual one-on-one meetings between Matches, as well as a monthly virtual session covering a carefully selected list of topics. These sessions will be facilitated by women who are experts in their fields, participating as LeadHERHosts.
LeadHERfinancial is a virtual mentorship program for women new to the financial services industry (in their first or second year). Our goal is to support and retain these women beyond their first year by addressing challenges unique to all women in this industry and offering them the support of a strong network of experienced women.

I have always been passionate about mentoring; I received immense benefits from my own mentors over my lifetime and also have been privileged to mentor many aspiring young people.
I am confident that a one-to-one mentorship program can have an outsized effect: women who are mentees will continue to apply what they have learned across their careers, creating a global Impact over time.
Let’s continue this momentum, and as women let’s mentor and lift up other women, helping them to grow, excel and advance more effectively. Mentorship can also, when done right, create an invaluable close-knit network for women, across all ages and industries.

My idea to create a mentorship program for women in male populated fields came to me in 2020 after twenty years in the financial services industry, having gained experience in several areas of the banking and investment industry. Through trial and error, my resume became extensive. In such an industry, this turned out to be an advantage. The financial industry isn’t easy to navigate. There are many different avenues that a young woman can engage in. Unfortunately, if you don’t know what questions to ask, and which areas within the industry match up with your personal strengths, you can easily end up taking detours and face career-devastating roadblocks along your path to success.
My motivation for creating the financial-work related arm of LeadHERalliance is to help guide my younger and newer female counterparts as they begin navigating these roads and detours like many of us have in the past. Feelings of loneliness, isolation, and confusion often follow young women as they enter the financial services industry. I want them to know that they are not the first individuals to experience these feelings and to understand that there is freedom in following their instincts. I want these young women to feel brave enough to leave or fight for change in a position that no longer serves their career and personal interests. I want young women to dare to create their own tables to sit at – especially if the seat isn’t made for them at a traditional "table”.
I want the women coming behind me in this journey to know that there is more than one way to get where they want and that it’s okay to voice their doubts, fears, and frustrations in a safe space. My greatest goal is to show these young women that there is strength in numbers. By aligning with other women who have already navigated similar career decisions, faced the same roadblocks, but who made them work, they will see, much sooner than I did, that there are ways for them to gain fulfillment in the financial services industry - an industry which often pigeonholes women into roles that allow for limited growth.
